Vcross Capital Markets, LLC is a Member of the NASD and provides its clients with a full range of product capabilities. The firm specializes in trading US Treasuries, US Agencies and "Structured Products," a category that includes Residential and Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities as well as Asset-Backed Securities. Vcross set out to launch the first online trading exchange for the fixed-income financial market. Vcross selected Objectlab professional services to manage all aspects of the design and development of the trading platform. Objectlab worked closely with Vcross domain experts to gather, analyze and distill the requirements into a secure, scalable design that would handle the high volume transactions expected. An intuitive user interface empowered buyers and sellers combining an application-like experience with the ubiquity and universal access of the Internet. Participating institutions could securely manage their portfolios, monitor supply and demand and use automated trading assistants providing a competitive edge.
Despite an extremely aggressive launch plan, the system was successfully launched on schedule and subsequently enabled Vcross to complete more than $400 million in trades in the first week alone. Vcross was granted patents on some of the technology Objectlab developed and in addition to offering the platform to their clients, Vcross has also licensed the platform to other members of the financial services industry. Objectlab's technical and managerial expertise enabled Vcross to succeed in executing their business model.
